This privacy policy will advise you about the use of your personal information by CHC Training LLC (“we”, “us”, “our” or “CHC Training”) when you use CHC Training’s websites and services, including, without limitation, the efforts we make to protect your personal information and about what choices you have concerning our use of such information. Please read this policy carefully. We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. In the event we make substantial and/or material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will post those changes here. Please refer back to this Privacy Policy regularly.

Information that We Collect

We may collect personal identification information from you (such as your name, business, phone, address, email, credit card or other payment information, registration information, user names, passwords, etc.) in connection with your use of, participation in, and registration and/or payment for, our websites, classes, seminars, products, surveys, forums, content submissions, chats, bulletin boards, discussion groups, requests for suggestions, participation in emails and newsletters, for physical content delivery or additional information, and in connection with other activities, services or resources we make available on any of our websites. Except as otherwise provided in this policy or permitted or required by law, we endeavor to not intentionally disclose any personal identification information about you to any third party without having received your permission (through opt-in or similar procedures). CHC Training may contact you based on the information you provide.

If you do provide us with personal information for any of these activities, we may use it in connection with the performance of such activity.

In addition, if your employer uses or registers for CHC Training websites, classes or other services, they may provide us with your name, email address, and other personal information on your behalf or to obtain access for you as a user.

CHC Training does not rent or sell personal identification information to outside marketers. In certain circumstances, CHC Training may share personal information with affiliates or trusted service providers (including payment processing providers) that need access to your information to provide operational or other support services, or we may share this aggregate statistical information with other third parties. We may also provide information to regulatory authorities and law enforcement officials in accordance with applicable law or when we otherwise believe in good faith that the law requires it.

Scope of Privacy Policy

This policy applies to your use of CHC Training’s websites. This policy does not apply to your use of any other third party websites or services, including those to which our websites site may link, advertise, or direct (including the third party web-hosting service owned and operated by Instructure, Inc. (“Instructure”), the third party proctoring and identification software/plug in service owned and operated by Proctorio, Inc. (“Proctorio”), and the third party credential service owned and operated by EdInvent Inc. (“Accredible”).

We seek to keep your private information private by:

  • Not selling your information—You’ve entrusted us with your personal information, and we’re committed to using it wisely.
  • Using firewalls and encryption—We use firewalls and encryption technology to protect personal information on our computer systems.
  • Restricting who has access to your information—We take precautions to ensure that your internet account and personal information are accessible only by parties who are authorized to have access to your personal information.

Non-Personal Identification Information

We may collect non-personal identification information when you use or websites or services, including without limitation, through the following methods:

  • “Cookie” technology: A “cookie” is an element of data that a website can send to your browser, which may then store it on your system.
  • “IP address tracking”: An IP address is a number that is assigned to your computer when you are on the Internet. When you request pages from our websites, our servers log your IP address.
  • “Web beacons”: A Web beacon, or “clear gif,” is a small graphic image on a webpage or web-based document that a website can use to determine information about a user.

“Do Not Track” Disclosures

Our websites honor your browser security and privacy settings. For some browsers, you can change and turn off tracking features and other security settings in your browser.

Privacy of Children

We strongly urge all parents to participate in their children’s exploration of the Internet and any online services, and to teach their children about protecting their personal information while online.

CHC Training does not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen (13) without verifiable parental consent. If we determined that such information has been collected on anyone under the age of thirteen (13), we will take the necessary steps to delete such information from our system’s database. Anyone under the age of thirteen (13) must seek and obtain parent or guardian permission to use this website.

Community Guidelines

We want to hear from you on social media, our blogs, and our forums, but please be advised that any information you disclose in such venues becomes public. 

We do have a few things that we do not allow in such venues, including without limitation the following, and we reserve the right to remove and/or report such activities in our sole discretion:

  • Posts that contain, discuss or promote:
    • abusive, vulgar, offensive, threatening or harassing language
    • personal attacks of any kind
    • illegal activity
    • political campaigns
    • legal or employment issues
  • Conversations that negatively target specific individuals or groups
  • Posts that are spam, solicitations or advertisements
  • Contest and voting campaign posts that are not authorized by CHC Training
  • Any profile icon or name related to commercial content that promotes another business, website, specialty page other than our organization or those approved by us
  • Personally identifiable information (like phone numbers or email addresses), private or sensitive details about another person
  • Material or information that you don’t have the right to post or share

Additional rules for blog comments and forums:

  • No profanity or skirting the language filter.
  • No political or religious issues.
  • No posting of premium content from any website.
  • No trolling or posting of fake news.
  • Use of descriptive thread titles.

Differences of opinion are welcome as long as they are respectful.  Be courteous and respect those asking questions with friendly, informative discussions.  We may delete posts or other information that does not meet the foregoing standards. Posters may be permanently banned for any violation of any of these rules, as determined by CHC Training.

User-submitted content (including comments, updates, photos and videos) does not necessarily represent the views of CHC Training.

The statements and opinions posted by registered participants to these forums and blogs on our website should not be construed as providing advice of any kind or as being endorsed by CHC Training.

Some links featured on our websites, social media, blogs, and forums will take you to non-CHC Training websites. The views and opinions of authors expressed on those websites do not necessarily state or reflect those of CHC Training and should not be construed as being endorsed by CHC Training.

If you link your social media or other third-party account to our websites or services, you authorize us to collect, store and use any information such sites or accounts may give us (e.g., your email address, user names, etc.). We may also receive information from you when you interact with our pages, groups, accounts or posts on social media platforms. This includes aggregate data on our followers (e.g., age, location), engagement data (e.g., likes and comments), and individual users’ public profiles.

Links to Other Sites

Users may find content on our websites that link to the sites and services of other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites. In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may change without notice or consent of CHC Training. These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies, or no policy (policies) at all. We encourage you to review the policies of any third-party sites or services before providing them with your personal information.

Access and Correction

With some exceptions designed to protect the rights of others or in respect of security, you may have the right to a copy of the personal data that we hold about you. We may impose a reasonable charge for additional copies of that data beyond the first copy, based on our administrative costs. Where the data is data that you have given to us, you have the right to receive your copy of it in a common electronic format, and to provide copies of it to other people if you wish.

You may have the right to have the personal data we hold about you corrected if it is factually inaccurate. This right does not extend to matters of opinion, such as company-specific annotations on your account/information.

Choice/Opt-Out/DELETION

If we are processing your personal data on the basis of your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time, in which case we will stop that processing unless we have another legal basis on which to continue.

You have the right to have personal data that we hold about you erased (the right “to be forgotten”). This right is not generally available where we still have a valid legal reason to keep the data (for example, for security reasons or because we are obliged to do so by law). You should be aware, however, that it is not always possible to completely remove or modify information in our databases and servers, although we will make reasonable efforts to do so upon your request, and we are unable to have your information removed from the records of any third party who has been provided with your information in accordance with this policy.

You have the right to request that we stop using your personal data or sending you marketing information. If you want us to stop sending you marketing information, the quickest and most efficient way is to use the provided “unsubscribe” links in our communications (although you can contact us directly if you prefer).

Consent to Transfer

The website is operated in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, please be aware that any information you provide to us will be transferred to the United States. By using our websites, participating in any of our services and/or providing us with your information, you consent to this transfer.
