Description

As a minimum requirement for designing asbestos abatement projects, the 24-hour initial asbestos project designer certificate is ideal for anyone looking to advance or start their career in the asbestos industry. This course will explore containment design and abatement in all areas of public, commercial, private, industrial, educational, governmental, and residential buildings/sites and give information on how to design contaminants aimed to aid in the proper removal of asbestos-containing building materials (ACBMs) and asbestos containing materials (ACMs) by a general abatement contractor. This course will prepare the student for various jobs in asbestos management and the state-administered certification exam (dependent on state regulations). With this certification, the student will be qualified to apply for a position as an asbestos abatement project designer (Estimator/Project Manager) at leading general abatement contracting firms across the US, including US – US-regulated territories and military sites.

This live/classroom course contains hands-on and practical application modules expertly designed to give students real-life experience to mirror what is expected in the field. These activities result in high student engagement and comprehension.
